… to launch a new adventure!
I just started a new part-time job to help make ends meet. At the same time, I announced the impending closure of two related websites which I finally decided after two years are never really going to work the way I had envisioned. I have a handful of local websites that I manage as a home-based side gig, and I have another little biz through which I design and sell clothing and PVC furniture patterns for dolls. (And I haven’t even mentioned my four kiddos, husband and various other local and family responsibilities…)
This may not seem like the ideal time to launch not just one, but TWO new online businesses!
So why did I choose now to delve into quilt and embroidery file design, as well as developing a site dedicated to helping quilters like me document and share their creations?
I didn’t really … they chose ME.
That’s kind of the story of my life. I call myself a serial entrepreneur and that’s because when something sparks my interest, it tends to really grab hold, and before I know it, my brain (not to mention my sewing room!)is overflowing with new ideas, projects I want to tackle and things I want to try or learn. As a result, I often can think of nothing else but starting a business focused on that shiny new thing. After all, what better justification for spending all of your waking hours (and some when I probably should be sleeping) thinking about it? That’s what happened to me recently with quilting, machine embroidery, project documentation and all things related. (Read more about that on my Meet the Designer page.)
I can’t predict what the future holds for me and my latest business ventures, but right now I know I am super excited to be diving head-first into the quilting world. I am thoroughly enjoying the flood of inspiration that is currently filling my days and nights … and I have spent the last several weeks working to translate those ideas into products and services so I can share the fun with people like YOU who find their way to my sites.
So today I officially launch Loopsy Daisy Studio, as well as its sister site, Quilter’s Logbook. Let the fun begin!
Can I promise that this business will be here forever? No. (And knowing my track record, you wouldn’t believe me if I did.) But I CAN promise that while I’m here, I’ll be putting my heart and soul into brainstorming, creating, designing and sharing my current passion with anyone interested in coming along for the ride.
Won’t you join me?
P.S. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post … I’d love to hear your thoughts! Feel free to leave a comment below and come back soon … I have lots of big things planned for the coming months!
